Why GCC?
SUNY Genesee’s two-year Nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). We combine nursing theory with supervised clinical experiences on the site of regional health service providers. Unique to associate degree programs in WNY, the final semester includes a four week capstone experience with an RN preceptor in a health care setting in our region.
The specialized knowledge and hours of applicable experience you will gain through GCC’s Nursing program will open doors to all kinds of practice settings. You will be free to pursue the rewards of helping people in a wide range of possible job settings.
You can join Nurse’s Club, which focuses on promoting leadership in Nursing. Members are also involved in the community by providing health information and making charitable contributions to health-related organizations.
We are proud to be a part of the Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society. Established by the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN), GCC was chartered as the Delta Beta Chapter in 2015. Alpha Delta Nu gives nursing students the opportunity to be recognized for academic excellence as well as encouragement to pursue advanced degrees.
